Sound Therapy

Sound Therapy

Sound Therapy works with vibrational frequencies using a wide range of different sound tools. Everything in our universe is energy, which has a vibration, and every cell in our body is a sound resonator. Exposure to therapeutic sounds has a scientifically-proven effect on our autonomic, immune, and endocrine systems, as well as our brain. Sound helps to facilitate shifts in our brainwave frequency from our normal waking consciousness (beta state) to relaxed consciousness (alpha state), and meditative and sleep states (theta and delta states), where healing occurs.

After setting the intention for a sound healing session, the client lies down and relaxes while the sounds of crystal bowls, Nepalese (also called Tibetan) singing bowls, chimes, rattles, tuning forks, and other sound tools fill the air and gently touch the body. Sometimes a sound tool can be placed directly on the client’s body. For some clients, memories, images, or physical sensations arise during a session, others drift off into a deep, relaxing slumber. Peace and harmony are the key words to describe the end of a sound therapy treatment.

Sound Spa and Sound Meditation
Sound Healing can be experienced in individual treatments as well as in a group setting, which I like to call Sound Spas. Participants bring their own yoga mat, blanket and pillow, get comfortable, and are in for a very relaxing vibrational healing treat.
Sound Meditations have evolved from the Sound Spas, by having a guided meditation embedded into a group sound healing adventure. Each event is unique.
